While completing an MA in languages at the University of Westminster, London, I launched my writing career creating travel content for Whatsonwhen.com in a Brick Lane office. I've never looked back. Since then, I have authored some 20 books and written numerous articles for publishers such as Lonely Planet, Frommer's, AA, Thomas Cook, Mandarin Oriental, P&O and BBC Olive. I also create web content for Frommer's Unlimited and partners, including Hilton, BA, KLM, Hotels.com and Holiday Inn.

My travels have taken me to the far corners of the globe, from Australia's outback to the frozen plains of Tierra del Fuego. I've hitchhiked with Thai royalty and sledged with Tibetan monks, picked grapes in Bordeaux and served beer at Oktoberfest. I've jobbed around Europe, with stints living in Switzerland, France, Spain and Greece. Over the past decade, I've been privileged to visit the world's most beautiful countries and meet the most extraordinary people - all in the name of a story.
